Concealed Carry Permit Classes Concealed Carry Permit classes are offered for the public to complete the certification required to obtain a Louisiana Concealed Carry License. Arrested May 6, 2024 on multiple criminal charges were Timothy Gauff of LaPlace; and Craig Lee Jr., Devonte Johnson, and Elderon Johnson, all of Garyville. Booked May 13, 2024 on multiple criminal charges were convicted felons Terrance Davis and Ephraime Williams III, both of LaPlace; as well as Dana Brown, of LaPlace. All of these subjects, with the exception of Brown, have a long arrest history including, but not limited to, Distribution of Marijuana, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Obstruction of Justice, Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearm, Battery of a Police Officer, Resisting an Officer, Aggravated Flight from an Officer by Vehicle, Illegal Carrying of Weapons with CDS, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The arrests of Gauff, Lee, Devonte Johnson and Elderon Johnson were connected to a narcotics investigation that began in late March 2024 of Davis and Williams and their involvement in the distribution of illegal narcotics, specifically Ecstasy, crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, prescription medication, and marijuana, in St. John the Baptist Parish. During the course of this narcotics investigation of Davis and Williams, detectives conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle leaving from Davis Court on May 6, 2024. As a result of the traffic stop, detectives located various amounts of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine tablets, marijuana, a large amount of cash, and three firearms, one of which was stolen. During this traffic stop, Timothy Gauff, Craig Lee Jr, Devonte Johnson, and Elderon Johnson were arrested. Gauff was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony); three counts of illegal carrying of weapons with controlled dangerous substance; illegal possession of a stolen firearm; possession with intent to distribute fentanyl (felony); possession of MDMA (felony); sale, distribution, or possession of legend drug without prescription or order prohibited. He was released May 9 after posting a $115,000 bond. Lee was charged with resisting an officer by refusing identity (misd); three counts of illegal carrying of weapon with controlled dangerous substance; possession of firearm/carry concealed weapon by convicted felon (felony); transactions involving proceeds from controlled dangerous substance activity (felony); possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony); possession with intent to distribution of fentanyl (felony); illegal possession of a stolen firearm; and possession of MDMA (felony). He is being held in custody in lieu of a $216,850 bond. Devonte Johnson was booked with resisting an officer by flight; three counts of illegal carrying of weapon with controlled dangerous substance; possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (felony); illegal possession of a stolen firearm; possession with intent to distribution of fentanyl (felony); possession of MDMA (felony); and three counts of possession of firearm/carry concealed weapon by convicted felon (felony).
